The major problem for Huawei’s POF controller is that it can only conﬁgure the flow tables of the forwarding devices manually, but do not support any programming model. However, the most important and attractive feature of SDN is its programmability. In this work, we present POFOX, a SDN controller for POF. Unlike the Huawei controller, POFOX is highly flexible and enables users to manage the POF devices with Python programs. In the design and implementation of POFOX, we have borrowed the programming model and the basic architecture of POX , a very popular OpenFlow controller, and re-design and re-code the key components of the controller such as the communication engine and the topology discovery component to support the POF devices.
1 Thread 2 Thread 3 Communication Engine In POF, the POF switch only needs to forward the packets under the control of the POFOX. Thus, the most important thing POFOX needs to do is to communicate with the switch with interactive messages. The messages are used to establish the connection, query the information of the flow tables and change the status of the switch, etc. In this component, we deﬁne the data structure of these messages in detail and create the sockets to listen to the messages from the switches, when POFOX receives the messages, it will unpack the packets and forward to other components.
A technique based on loop transformation to improve the data locality for multi dimensional arrays is proposed in [2, 3] and demonstrated the usefulness for array operations. In  chunking, reordering, redundancy and partitioning of the large array are proposed to make efﬁcient access on secondary and tertiary memory devices. Caching by chunk by chunk for improving performance is proposed by [5–7]. All the chunks are n dimensional with smaller length than the original array. Soroush and Balazinska  shows a technique for storing and analyzing multidimensional array by chunking but there is no generalization from higher dimensions.
